Cheat Haven Trail
Along east bank of Cheat Lake (Lake Lynn), WV
At the base of the cliffs on the east side of Cheat Lake, this trail traces the edge of Lake Lynn for 4.8 miles. Extensions of the ride
The next section to the south is not yet built, but would follw the Cheat River to connect up to the Sheepskin Trail at Port Marion.
Development plans
There is hope of continuing along the Cheat River to connect to the Port Marion Trail.
Access points
Vicinity: Directions begin at exit 2 on PA 43 about 55 miles south of Pittsbugh, To get there from Pittsburgh take 51 south to Large PA and the juction with US 43. Depending on where you are in an alternative is to go south on I79 to exit 7 and follow backroads to the trail head.
Morgan Run Rd: At the bottom of the ramp from exit 2 on PA43, continue straight across onto Bunker Hill Rd. Go 2.2 miles and bear left to stay on BunkerHill Rd. Go 1.1 miles and just before a power line substation and before the Cheat Haven Trail sign turn a sharp left/southwest. Go 350 feet to the parking lot.
