James Mayer Riverwalk Trail

Johnstown's Moxham neighborhood with the village of Riverside in Indiana County

 This trail is named afer a local attorney/conservationist who led extensive efforts in Johnstown and the region. It is short trail along the banks of the Stoneycreek River. It follows the path of the Johnstown and Stoney Creek Railroad.

This trail offers beautiful views of the river, abundant bird-life and wildflowers, picturesque Buttermilk Falls and serenity within an urban setting.

Development plans

During the summer of 2010 the trail is being extended for approximately 1.5 miles through Moxham and Hornerstown.
